About Us

How it All Began

We were excited as we discovered the story that is in the stars during our personal studies. We wanted to talk about it and for others to feel the joy and excitement that we feel. 

We are constantly collecting new information and planning new ways of sharing this information. Putting this presentation together wasn't easy as we had to learn how to use new technology but we are so grateful for this opportunity.

Wherever we go there are always other people who have wondered about the stars and their message or who feel fascinated by the stars and it is fantastic to be able to talk with them and build our testimonies together.

Why Star People?

We didn't dream this name up. It started when we were visiting Crosby ward to give a presentaion in the evening. As we were talking to the members one of them said 'oh, you are the star people'. That made us smile and we decided to use it for the email. After that it became what we were known as. I do wear a black top with stars on it just to add to the atmosphere.

Joyce Brown

I grew up in a mining town in Yorkshire, one of seven children.  Our parents taught us to love learning and enjoy life.  I enjoy playing tennis, badminton and table tennis, am a keen knitter, sewer and now leatherworker.  After many years of yoga, still learning new ways to enjoy it.


We have 5 wonderful children who married fantastic spouses, and 7 amazing grandchildren.  We joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1981 and our only regret is that we didn't join earlier.  Served a mission in the England Manchester Mission and are now enjoying living in Gaerwen, Angelsey.

Dave Brown

I grew up in the same town as Joyce.  I love many sports and was a goal keeper for a few local football teams.  I loved science at school this is where we built a telescope as a class project.  Still learning and enjoying life.


Our goal for 2018 is to continue to learn and share this presentation with as many people as we can.  We hope they can feel the same excitement we feel when we consider why the stars are there and what we can learn from them.
